Typical Fisher and Davis doing so well after the demotion. Why aren’t they prepared for the majors? I hold out more hope for Davis eventually making a productive ML player than I do Fisher. After having struck out in 37% of his 146 at bats at the ML level in 2017, Fisher has struck out in over 50% of his at bats this season. Davis struck out in 32% of his ML at bats in 2017, but has improved to striking out 27% of his at bats this season in MLB. Fisher can cover a lot of ground in the outfield, but he takes bad routes to the ball often and has a rag arm. Davis plays a good 3B, and can play 1B, LF and RF in a pinch...and can pitch an inning for you, if needed. He has a cannon arm. I have not given up on Davis. I’m curious to see what he could do if he was stuck in the lineup every game for a month or so.

our top 5 farm systems are all having winning seasons and combined they are 80 games over 500. Things look good for the future. For sure. Fresno should make the playoffs. They lead their division by 7 games with 15 games left to play. Corpus Christi and Quad Cities have already qualified for the playoffs by winning the first-half titles in their divisions. Buies Creek should make the playoffs. They are in if they win the second-half title in their division or if Winston-Salem wins the second half title and Buies Creek finishes second. Right now Buies Creek and Winston-Salem are tied for first place in their division...8 games ahead of the team that is in third place....with 15 games to play. Our Short Season A team Tri-City leads their division by a game and a half with 16 games to play. They make the playoffs if they win their division or finish second and have the best record of all second place teams. The farm system is strong.

the game was called after 5 and Whitley wound up the losing pitcher even though he left the game just after giving up the only hit that he gave up. Came around on a home run that accounted for all the scoring for both clubs.
