Charlie Morton R 15-3 3.18 ERA
CF G. Springer R 2B Jose Altuve R 3B Alex Bregman R SS M. Gonzalez B 1B Yuli Gurriel R DH Evan Gattis R RF Josh Reddick L C Max Stassi R LF Tony Kemp L
Glad to see that Correa is out of the lineup today. Surprised to see that Springer, Altuve and Gurriel are in the lineup. I think we will see of these guys out quickly and Davis, Tucker and Straw in. Could see Kemp playing a little 2B today.

The only reason at bats are being wasted on a dud like Stassi is to rest Maldonado and McCann and be sure they are not injured. I would have liked to see Correa DH today to wee if can duplicate yesterday.

I would have liked to see Correa DH today to wee if can duplicate yesterday. I’m thinking AJ saw what he needed to see in Correa in game #1 yesterday. Timing back and driving the ball. He looked like his back was not bothering him for the first time since very early in the season. Just my opinion, but I think AJ doesn’t want to take a chance on Correa re-aggravating his back issue now in a meaningless game with the ALDS coming up Friday.

I think Stassi is in there to protect the other two. I hope they don't waste a roster spot on Stassi

I don’t understand why guys like Straw and Tucker don’t get more AB’s. Having 104 wins is nice but not a necessity.

Peacock is officially off the post season roster now. If you allow the Orioles 3 runs in your first inning on game #162 then you have no business being on that roster

Stassi definitely won't make it after that throw.
This is fun. It's like voting people off the island

James may supplant Smith on the roster with the outings he's been doing. At least for the ALDS to start.

I’m going to enjoy the 4 days off and be ready for the playoffs come Friday. This one is a snoozer.

Peacock had pitched 6 Innings this month coming into today, allowing 6 hits and 2 runs.

I hate seeing the guys just going through the motions but they saw what they needed to see out of Morton so onward and upward. Bye Bye Brad,

AJ just the same as announced that McCullers will be on the roster. A mistake is made if James is not also on it.
If they go with 11 pitchers, I'd go with:
Verlander Cole Morton Keuchel McCullers James Pressly Osuna Sipp McHugh Smith
I dont't trust Rondon, Devenski, Harris, or Peacock at this point. I just hope AJ doesn't feel obligated to keep a guy who hasn't earned it and none of those four have.
If they go with 12, Rondon would probably get it although I'd lean toward Peacock.

I know it's a tale of two halves for Rondon but he really had only one bad month- just happened to be in September. Against Cleveland on the year he has gone 3.1 innings and allowed no runs on 3 hits. Hinch will take that into account Also, on the road he has a 0.56 ERA 32 innings and 2 ERs
Smith had a bad September as well but not as bad as Rondon. Against Clev this year he has gone 3.1 innings and 1 ER on a HR (Allowing just that 1 hit for a .100 BAA)

The Clev series will be a battle to score runs consistently anyhow.
We don't need Straw as we have Kemp and Marisnick for speed
