LMAO. God, he sucks. ROFL The dumbass will never stop throwing that hanging slider. He almost blew the game. No way would I have pulled Devenski. I guess Hinch wanted to see if Giles could get an out, close the game, and see if that helps get him on track. He makes me very uncomfortable when he comes in this kind of game.

We are striking out way too much. Springer is way off his game.....Jake is swinging at everything as is Fisher. Davis finally got a hit before going back to being an automatic out

Greg Holland walked four and tagged with the loss in his closing debut with St. Louis

LA trying to keep it interesting for a while. Feels like 1986 again. Astros, Boston, Mets and Angels have the most wins

I think people are being a little too hard on Giles...it was just a foul ball. Sanu did the same thing earlier off of a different pitcher. In the only two close games he has pitched, he hasn't given up a run or allowed an inherited runner to score. I think we need to calm down a little and see how he does.
More concerning to me right now is our 1-3 hitters recently. Good lord.... Even Altuve's hit today was a lucky IF single. Springer looks like garbage at the plate.

I'm with you on how bad our hitters have been, it's frustrating. I'm not going to be too concerned though because track record proves all 3 will turn it around. Just glad our pitching has been so good to pick up our slow start on offense.

Watching him play everyday, in my opinion, I don't think he looks over matched. He makes a lot of good contact and hits into a lot of outs. He started this way last season as well.

I am also concerned about Springer...I am surprised Bortaz hasn't suggested he should go back to stuttering.

Odds are he'll come out of it and be on fire for a while, but man he looks brutal. Especially for a guy getting the most ABs on the team...

So does George need a slump buster?

Nah, he's gonna get a couple hits (1 a tater) today.

I focus my attention on no-talent hacks like Jake Marisnick. Marisnick is exactly what we need him to be. A 4th OFer for a random day off and as a defensive replacement/pinch-runner. We give him way too many opportunities to start though.

Nah, he's gonna get a couple hits (1 a tater) today. I don't know why we insist on batting him leadoff though. Altuve is a natural born leadoff hitter. When Yuli gets back, I don't see why we don't see the below lineup 90% of the time if healthy. Altuve 2B Bregman 3B Correa SS Springer CF Reddick RFGurriel 1BMcCann C/DH Marwin LF Gattis/Stassi DH/C

Because batting him leadoff and batting Altuve 3rd worked perfectly in 2017.

I haven't seen the clipboard this year. Did we give it a qualifying offer .. and it signed somewhere else? Signed with the Blue Jays No wonder they're doing so well
