Hopefully we get a little more successful with our basestealing soon, haha. I'm just glad they're trying to steal. It seemed last year like they were coached out of running. Agreed. I'd rather see teams go down being aggressive rather than always waiting for a HR.

And yet every run scored in our game yesterday was scored via the home run, for both teams.

You’ve got to keep the pressure on the opposition. Hitting a home run is not easy contrary to how the team makes it look.

Hitting a home run is not easy contrary to how the team makes it look. I respectfully disagree. If you aren't successful at least 75% of the time, you're just wasting base-runners. We aren't close to 75%. Perhaps in the future, we'll figure it out or have the personnel to be successful. But we aren't there right now.

Hit and runs and going first to third also applies pressure. True, but we aren't being successful at a rate that justifies extra outs and fewer base-runners.
For example: On the two run double by Brantley, he (or a PR) could have been on second and in a position to score on a solid single instead of making the 3rd out trying to stretch the double to third base by aggressive base-running. That wasn't a SB attempt, but that aggressiveness backfired and so far, it has backfired more often than not.

I feel as if allowing runs immediately after scoring is an issue too.
