Speaking about accents, are the accents of people from South Africa the bridge between those from England and those from Australia? White South Africans speak Afrikaans...as well as Engrish with a Dutch base. White South Africans have been showing up in Vietnam in droves the past few years. To live and work, not as tourists. Very sad stories they tell of all the enlightened racial policies of the current South African government. In nearly every case, I have found them extremely hard-working, competent in their field, and easy to get along with. |

I am wrong so far about White. We need a clear upgrade if he doesnt start hitting soon. I wonder if Castellanos is still available via trade? I heard Yankees could be in talks with Keuchal? How aboit the HRs from the Mariners?  Wow Salient stats on White's hitting this year -- 2018: 39% GB, 43% FB 2019: 64% GB, 14% FB 2018: 42% of batted balls to LF, 38% to CF, 20% to RF 2019: 21% to LF, 71% to CF, 7% to RF Conclusion: for the time being, two things White is trying to do are not yet working or paying dividends: 1) He's tried to lower his launch angle in an attempt to hit more line drives. Instead, he is hitting ground balls, which hurts him because most of his success in the past has come from hitting lots of fly balls -- 17% of which leave the park, and at least for the ones that don't he can't possibly GIDP. It's not like he is going to leg out many infield hits like Altuve or Correa. Therefore, the ground ball should be avoided as much as possible. 2) Trying to hit the ball up the middle to 'beat the shift'. Well, the shift was never really very effective against White to begin with because he usually hit the ball over the infielders' heads. He was more successful as a pull hitter. It's about time for him to try reverting to what worked for him before, "spraying the ball to all fields" be damned. Also, when White tries hitting the ball to CF or RF, his exit velocity drops about 3.5mph. That's not really ideal since, as a slow runner, he needs to hit the ball as far away from home plate as possible in order to have a chance of reaching base or of getting an extra base hit. |

Really, Tim? The only similarity is the language and even that is spoken with a different accent. It's like saying British and Americans are the same. Good call, ultra hot, especially with the accent....ironically, Patsy Kensit, she is an English actress... According to Wiki she has been married and divorced 4 times. The first 3 marriages we're all back to back, married like 3 years and divorce, then next year start the process again. |

Man, I used to have a crush on that chick from Lethal Weapon 2. Good call, ultra hot, especially with the accent....ironically, Patsy Kensit, she is an English actress... According to Wiki she has been married and divorced 4 times. The first 3 marriages we're all back to back, married like 3 years and divorce, then next year start the process again. I felt Riggs’s pain when he found her in the lake. |
