Josh James isn’t right. The kid was fairly effective at 100+ mph. At 95, he’s looking mediocre.

lazy popup drop at the Trop last year wasn't an error. Still cost a run though You and Sherwin with your damn Rain Man Autism, remembering obscure and unimportant single plays. How many toothpicks are in this box? 246.

How many toothpicks are in this box? actually .. it wasn't an unimportant play. It was the rubber game and it was a turning point. Y'all were complaining about Altuve swinging at the outside slider at the time

The offense has got to stop hitting it to the left side with runners on base.

Mam, what has happened to to our pitching? We can't knock the offense, they're scoring plenty of runs...

I feel pretty bad for the offense. Too many uphill battles. They have to at least admit James isn’t right. They might need some help for Pressly and Osuna.

Every player goes through down times. I don’t understand hating on a player unless they’re crazy like Giles 😜 I don't hate White or any other player. I just think we could have done better than him

All of our hot shot pitching prospects at AAA and AA look like crap right now. James does not resemble the pitcher we saw when he was called up last year. He needs to be sent to RR. Devenski just needs to GO........that strut of his makes me sick. I wish I could plant my size 13 in the middle of his ass.

The quality of contact and of plate appearances by the Astros in this game was rock-solid. They keep this up, they will be fine.
Today, Hinch used 3 of the weakest links in the pitching staff (Peacock/James/Devo) so no real surprise they gave up a lot of runs against a good offense.
With a little luck this game could have been winnable. The luck will come and go as the season wears on.
Biggest disappointment was seeing Hinch have to use Osuna just to keep him in shape. He may be needed to close the next 2 games so I'd rather not see him have to pitch during trash time.

I'd put Peacock back in the pen and test drive Corbin Martin as SP5. As much as I felt that Keuchel’s price tag would be too much for the team, I have to admit that his loss created a patchwork rotation. They are elite with Verlander and Cole. However, after that the staff is fairly weak. McHugh and Peacock are back end starters who are arguably better relievers. Miley could be a #3, but he’s a band aid for the loss of Keuchel. Josh James is not right and not an option for the rotation. Any help from the farm they could use could only benefit them whether it be for the outfield or the middle relief.

I agree their pitching staff needs some additions by subtraction.
