His bubble gum bubbles after a strikeout has the same effect on me as Castro's glaring back at the ump or Chris Carter wandering nonchalantly back to the dugout 250 times a season. I just looked at White’s numbers with runners in scoring position. 1-12 with 8 strikeouts and no RBI. Alvarez’s numbers at AAA with runners in scoring position? 11-22 with 4 strikeouts, 5 home runs, 3 doubles and 22 RBI. A couple of those times White’s batted with a runner at third and less than two outs, and I think he struck out each time. To me, those are freebies and he’s still failing. |

But if White got a sac fly RBI, that’d buy him another three months on the team.

Offense is in a funk right now. Need to get both Altuve and Bregman hot, because without them our offense cannot score. Springer, Brantley and Correa have remained consistent all year but the previous two I mentioned are hurting us at the moment.

Altuve has had his head in his ass for over a week.........3 for 24 on the homestand and an 0'fer last night. These guys should concentrate on hitting and spend less time shooting commercials. |
