Probably nobody cares at this point, but Tyler White has actually been showing signs of life lately. Over the last two weeks he is hitting: .290/.439/.452 for an .891 OPS. It would still be nice to see more power, but it is a little progress. He'll still have to show more to keep a spot once everybody is back healthy though. FMF hit into a double play last night with the bases loaded. I know. Just pointing out the bigger picture lately.

Altuve activates tomorrow and Springer rehabs in Corpus on Thursday. That’s pretty damn good news.

Tony Kemp is very aggressive on Def. And very impressive so far. Wonder if he will push for starting time SS when Altuve comes back

Altuve got his first hit since coming back, and he almost had another with the lineout to CF in his first AB. He also looks to be running well. I think we are going to see some big stuff from him soon.

I just thought I'd point out that, for the moment, Harris has a better ERA than Pressly. Not as good of WHIP or K rate though. I certainly don't expect it to last, but considering how many people around the city were ready to drop Harris last year despite a pretty solid season, it's good to see him bouncing back with a very strong 2019.

Pressly needs to get it together. He squandered a confidence boosting rally the other day due to his lackluster pitching. The same for Osuna in Cincinnati.

Wasn't that the game that people were saying Yuli shouldn't be playing 3B?

Brantley made the All Star team. That's nice news to read. He deserved it by leading the league in multi-hit games and opposite field hits.

Michael Brantley is now 2nd in the American League in batting average at .332, which is 1 point behind D.J. LeMahieu.

Josh James: Since the All-Star break he's pitched 6 Innings with a ZERO ERA. 2 Hits allowed, 2 BBs and 8 Ks, .100 BAA before giving up that HR today.
Although it's been noted that his fastball dropped off today and may be fatigued.

Despite his RISP struggles, Bregman is still on pace for: 42 HR 99 RBI 117 Runs
Springer: 35 HR 88 RBI 91 Runs (I'd love to see him get 100 Runs for a 4th straight year.)
Brantley: 24 HR 88 RBI 88 Runs 196 Hits
Meanwhile, Yordan has played in 29 games and has 10 HR and 33 RBI. He could potentially play in 60 more. At the rate he has played his first 30-ish games, he has a chance at 30 HR. He's going to have some stiff competition for ROY with Brandon Lowe, Eloy Jimenez, and John Means having very good seasons so far as well.

Maybe Alvarez can be our Ryan Howard (who stole the ROY from Willy Tavarez despite playing in half as many games)
