I don’t miss Maldonado’s bat at all. Me either. Maldonado would always go 0'fer in like 4 games straight and then have a 3-4 game with a home run so he never seemed as bad as he actually was/is.

Or a team like the Royals who play .300 baseball. This stuff ain't gonna fly in the long run. Shoring up the pen needs to be a Luhnow priority.

Wish Pressly was available The only two reliable relievers we have are Pressley and Osuna and they can't do it all. We must go get them some help. I'd send James to RR, bring up Whitley or Martin, and put Peacock back in the pen. Whitley is not ready. I don’t know what is wrong with the guy. He has allowed 17 earned runs in 14.2 innings this season...., 9 earned runs in 3.2 innings in his last 2 outings. His walks(7) are up and and his strikeouts(19) are down. Martin looks like our best hope for help from the minors right now.

Harris and Rondon pitched two shutout innings again and White didn't even play again. Lot of whining going on for no reason. Did you watch the top of the 8th inning? Agreed. If a driver hits every wall around the track, loses 3 tires, and blows the engine...it's not a good race just because he didn't flip the car onto its roof.

Correa deserves credit for the numbers he's put up so far. He had a tough go-of-it last year being hurt

The logic is that pitchers are going to allow baserunners. The idea is to not let them score. Which they did.
I know some people here seem to think we should have a bullpen with nothing but all-stars that never allow a runner...good luck with that.

We win our third in a row (3 games up now) in a good overall team win and people are still bitching. I just don't understand it.

Harris was very fortunate...hard hit balls were caught and defense made great plays to get him out of trouble. Rondon was brought in because Hinch knew Harris was about to cost us the game. Great defemse got Rondon out of the mess Harris left him. White was where he belongs. You have a tendency to confuse stating facts with whinng. 🙄

We're discussing specific outings, not every game the wanker has played in all the way back to little league.

The play Altuve made in the 8th inning was the best I’ve seen from him in a year.
