Martin vs. LeBlanc
It would sure be nice to see Martin bounce back with a strong showing. As much as our Round Rock crew has stepped up, he has been a bit of a weak link outside of that first start. A win today puts us up 9 games in the division.
In his first 12 MLB games, Straw is now hitting .353 (.421 OBP) with 5/5 SBs, and 8 Runs. I don't see how you can take him out of the lineup at the moment, even if it's to DH.

There's no telling what the line-up will look like. Hinch does not use traditional concepts like keeping the hot hitter in the lineup. He's very adamant about giving players regular rest and cold players ABs so they have an opportunity to break out of their slumps.
I really won't complain as long as the results keep showing it's working. I want to be hot in OCTOBER and just good enough during the season.

I noticed in the clip of Straw going home that he makes a very hard cut at 3B rather than rounding the base much like a high level Running back that makes linebackers miss without losing speed. He has unusually athletic skills for a baseball player. |

They have banned them here starting in a couple of months I guess. My wife is Hoarding straws... Pretty Soon they will have a Warranty out for the arrest of selling illegal straws. I mean really she brings home a couple dozen or more every day. I'll have to build a special cabinet just for them, there will be so many
