Not a bad idea if he would take a minor league assignment. Someone might take a chance on him in the Majors. By what I can tell by a fangraphs graph, he has lost about 2 mph on his fastball... |

With Yordan, and pending return of Three Amigos, this team can be scary good. I hope even when Diaz comes back the Astros keep Stubbs and Straw. I really like their athleticism.

Damn Jordan just keeps on keeping on. 3 hits today and another home runs. We can not be so lucky as to have him keep this up. Just jump up to the big leagues hit cleanup on a first place team and smash out 4 home runs in 5 games and be hitting 471. Man playing with boys right now it looks like.

At the start of the year we had all of these young arms that we figured we could count on. At least a couple of them anyway. James, Whitley, Martin, Bukauskas, Valdez, all seemed like had a chance to really help the club this year. Out of those guys the least likely on paper seemed to be Valdez and yet he is the one who has stepped forward. Good to see.

Just think he is the 4th player in MLB history to hit 4 HR's in his first five games. Then again all the other three have been in recent years too.

Like a damn Cuban Roy Hobbs. 4 homers in first 5 games. When we empty the IRL, I wonder how Luhnow could demote him. Hinch loves Yordan......no way in hell he gets demoted. When the guys on IL come back, I expect some trades to be made.....hopefully for a starter and a good lefty reliever. In addition to Yordan, I want to keep Straw and Stubbs. So, if I had to decide, White,Kemp, Fisher, Mayfield, and Devenski all have to go. McHugh gets Devenski's spot. |
