Actually, based on their recent performance over the last couple weeks, Jake is the most likely 0-4 in the lineup. He has an OPS of .317 over the last two weeks (OPS...not AVG). Yikes. Jake is a huge plus on defense.......White is a minus in every department. Don't hand me that OPS bullshit to try and defend the useless slob. But you didn't mention defense in your post. You said "0-4".

And yet Straw is on the bench again. Play Straw in the infield and bench dry-humper Kemp. How many games has Straw played at 2B?

Anybody heard whether they called up Altuve or not? ESPN is reporting Altuve will be called up tomorrow. I sure hope so. Whatever it is, it is. Just glad to hear he's on the mend and will be back soon. Besides, Kemp can fill in until Altuve gets back. Corch will be sad to see him relegated to the bench.

The fact that he is still on the roster is an embarrassment.

Looks like a dog in heat.

What does last year have to do with me pointing out that, based on the most recent performance of both players, Marisnick is much more likely to go 0-4 than White is?

Jake's offensive production......and, by that, I mean run production......is much better and he has few at bats. White's overall numbers are lower in every department. I don't go by what you say is likely to happen.I look at what has already happened. White is a worse offensive player than Jake.

Gotcha, so since you "look at what has already happened", over the last month which player is more like to go 0-4: A. .220/.360/.322 .682 OPS B. .183/.258/.300 .558 OPS

I see no problem with it. If Straw can play SS, which is a tougher position., there is no reason he can't play second and do it least as well as Kemp and probably better. I moved several guys from SS to 2B over the years but I don't recall moving many 2B to SS.

He hasn't played there much so it's a little early to say he is a decent shortstop. Second of all, it's a different side of the field and different angle for turning DPs. I'm sure he could probably do it with some practice, but I don't want him practicing during an MLB game. That would be bad coaching.

I have never interpreted the post-game celegration in the OF as dong shaking. Jake strikes out too much but not as often as White. Jake has speed........White runs like a turtle. Jake is an elite defensive player whereas White is barely adequate. White will soon be history.......bank on it.

Straw would have more range than Kemp and has a better arm. Kemp is weak at turning the DP. Straw would do as well and probably better. I can assure you that Straw would do as well at 2B as Kemp and probably better.

Rain delay I'll take this opportunity to espouse my belief that if you have a ghetto-ass stadium without a roof then you should have to forfeit any games you have to cancel due to weather.
