There needs to be a 20 push-up penalty for every grounder Altuve hits to the third baseman.

Well, we know Yordan is staying when Springer gets back.

If Reddick gets on base, this gets interesting.

Doesn't really matter unless the Offense decides it time to return. Bregman disappeared when the three went out. The AAA gang ran out of excitement and steam and the other guys never had it. You kidding me depending on White, Reddick, Marsnick and Yuli. What a joke Wale up. Reddick is having a good year and is in the top 10 in the league in hitting.

Also, how bad is Álvarez on defense? Someone should take playing time from Gurriel. He needs to be taught to place first base.

There needs to be a 20 push-up penalty for every grounder Altuve hits to the third baseman. His act is wearing thin even though some think he does no wrong. He either refuses to make adjustments or is too dumb to make them. He has picked up right where he left off.......hitting weak ground balls. We have a hitting coach who is supposed to help with these problems.

Yordan hits another laser shot home run..........Jake gets three hits including two homers....Bregman took time out from hitting popups to hit a home run.........Altuve finally got a hit before resuming playing pepper with the third baseman.........Our young pitcher are all inconsistent. They either dominate or get hammered. If things continue,we could follow getting swept by the Reds to getting swept by the Yankees. I give Miley and Verlander a chance providing our dead bats wake up.........Springer homered twice for Corpus tonight....he can't get back too soon.

Only Yordan Álvarez and Carlos Delgado have hit as many as five home runs in their first nine games.

What are you proposing they do with a perennial all-star that we have signed to 5 more years who is in the prime of his career but is having a slump?

Man, when Yordan starts recognizing changeups and offspeed stuff better, they would have to start entertaining the idea of him playing the field more thereby taking playing time from Gurriel. In a perfect world, you’d have Yordan and Brantley at 1B/DH and an outfield of Reddick-Straw-Springer.

I propose that the "perennial all star" change his approach at the plate. Weak ground balls and DP's are not helping. He needs to stop trying to pull everything he sees.......His slump was about 11-68 when he went on the IL. He needs to make adjustments.

I'm hoping Hinch will do away with his rotate-DH routine now that we have someone to slot there every day

Maybe some type of rotation between Yordan and Brantley at DH and LF. Then sprinkle in a DH day for Altuve, Correa, Springer now and then.

He seems to get in thse slumps by trying to pull everything so maybe he is coming aournd, I am a big fan of his and know what we have seen most of this season is not the hitter he is. Nobody puts out more effort than he does . It is just aggravating to see him hitting as he is when we know he is much better.

Look at Cal Ripken, Jr. All the time something different and rarely did it make much of a difference. If he's healthy and feeling confident with his leg, I think he'll be fine. I'll feel comfortable that he's back when he starts to steal some bases and get the ball off the ground a little better. It's not that he's not making solid contact, he's just swinging over everything.

I second that. Yordan needs to be getting work in at 1B. Maybe not during the actual games right now, but some extra practice on the side absolutely.

You are squaring it up., He appears to have poor footwork at times that creates some of the problem.

We have a surplus of outfielders and none at first base.......Yuli and White are not the answer. See if Yordan can be the regular and let Yuli be a utility man....get rid of White
