From what I read, pitching staffs will be announced at 5:30 p.m. ET on Sunday on ESPN. Honestly, I wouldn't mind if all our pitchers were overlooked. Injury bug and all. Yeah, I understand the sentiment. Team first, dog and pony show second. Still, from a player point of view, it is quite an honor to be selected.
Mike Minor and Justin Verlander are probably at the top of the short list for AL starter. Gerrit Cole is certainly in the conversation as one of the other starters who will be on the roster. From the Tigers, Matt Boyd could possibly be on the list but I'd stop far short of saying probably. I do think Shane Greene will be on the roster as a reliever. I'd be quite surprised if he wasn't.
