Lol, just when Saint had us all convinced about George W. Harris, he reverts to the norm. Harris is following his pattern............great first half and then turn to crap around the break and sucks the rest of the year. They cannot depend on him.

Horrible pitch.....you do NOT give a guy something to hit on an 0-2 count.

I would have kept Pressly in. Hinch cost them the game when he pulled him

Every Pitcher outside of Pressley suck in the BP tonight. Didn't help that Chirinos let runs score on a bad throw.

Can't complain about the offense today. Bullpen had an off night.

Good job by Alvarez. Pitching was horrible.

Only reliever who did his job was Pressly.

Fell asleep after the 7th inning thinking Pressly stopped the comebacks. Was sorely disappointed.

I can't wait to see who we trot out to the mound to start the first two games in the Angels series. Maybe then Luhnow will realize he has to make a deal for starting pitching. IF it takes Whitley to get Thor from the Metsk, pull the trigger.

The more I see the Astros struggling to win against teams they are supposed to beat, the more I cherish 2017.

Horrible pitch.....you do NOT give a guy something to hit on an 0-2 count. This is a common problem with JV and Cole. I get it, those guys can strike people out, but they’ve got to be a little smarter. Verlander should throw more curveballs like he did Freeman in the All Star Game. Cole just needs better break on pitches.

This years team needs pitching help or they won’t make it to the WS. This is the best offense we’ve ever had, but it’s not as clutch as the last couple seasons. It just goes to show you how extremely hard it is to win a championship. Chirinos has been cold for a while, they can’t decide on a 9-hitter, and White just plain stinks. If you add Altuve and Reddick’s cold streaks, that’s a bad offense. They’ve got to fix it quickly before the Rangers gain more confidence.

Not so much in June and July. As Altuve goes, the team goes. If he keeps doing fielding drills with the 3B or SS, that takes away a lot of the offense’s punch seeing as he’s the best hitter on the team when he’s on his game.

Lol, where are all of y’all who were calling for the Astros to sign Chirinos to an extension a couple of months ago?

It’s not a bad judgment by fans but definitely a premature call. Stassi is a terrible starting catcher, especially when you combine him with White and Marisnick at the bottom of the order. If they can train Stubbs to be an effective hitter, I wouldn’t really have much of a problem with letting Chirinos go in the off-season.

If you look at the upcoming offseason free agent catchers, I am not opposed to retaining Chirinos, especially if he's not expensive and if he will take a one-year deal with a club option for the second year. He is a low BA guy, but his OB is pretty good and he has good power. I think his defense is underrated.

That is true....but once everyone is back playing, he will be the worst hitter in the starting lineup....And if the worst hitter in the lineup has an OPS around .775, I think the Astros are in pretty good shape.
