Poor Jake. Everyone else sharing the Message board hate has left leaving him as the sole remaining target of the perpetually angry fan. Corch's homoerotic fascination with Jork evens it out. He'll be fine, as long as Corch keeps the shrine and bottle of lotion handy. You have a sicker mind than I thought which is probably why you can't absorb necessary knowledge to properly evaluate a player's worth

What we forget about Jake is he makes great dives, but he also can misjudge a ball or two. I’ve seen him dive on balls he shouldn’t have. His defensive game is not as refined as Kiermaier or Buxton, and we should stop thinking of him as some irreplaceable wunderkind. I don't think anybody here thinks that but Corch. any player can be replaced......Please tell me which other Outfielder we have is better than Jake defensively........I will wait while you try to figure out an answer.

Straw....if you are going by what he did in the minors...faster, better arm and maybe better range....he needs time in the OF to make you a believer.

This series will be another example of why we need to find a defensive position for Alvarez as all he will likely get is at bats as a PH

Speaking of catchers, one of the concerns about Stubbs is that he is a small guy as catchers go and they don’t think he can hold up physically to being the primary catcher for a full season. I have noticed that Stubbs and Ritchie are splitting playing time pretty much 50/50 at Round Rock. Stubbs should be in good shape physically at the end of the season. I wonder if we see him get called up in September and if he performs well, maybe he makes the playoff roster(s) rather than Stassi.

Stassi is not an offensive threat...if you watch how he frames the pitches, it shows why he made the majors....now staying is a different story, his glove can't carry his bat forever.

The problem with Stassi is that he’s at least supposed to be passable against lefties, but he hasn’t been hitting them either this season. Maybe The Stromfather can work on his hitting.

The question of the day is whether Correa and Alvarez both make it into the line-up in a NL park. I don't think so today. My guess: 1. George Springer CF 155 2. Jose Altuve 2B 124 3. Alex Bregman 3B 142 4. Michael Brantley LF 140 5. Carlos Correa SS 138 6. Uli Gurriel 1B 123 7. Josh Reddick RF 95 8. Robinson Chirinos C 112 9. Jose Urquidy SP 82 I finally nailed a starting lineup!

Batteries came with the items. They are on all the time. Perhaps I do need batteries and a clear line of site.
