Remember the Mariner's hot start? Of course they went into a tail spin after a few weeks. Of late they have been playing better, (7-3, last 10). So I hope no one is expecting an easy sweep this weekend.

Well, for people who care, from an overall WAR standpoint Stassi has been better (less bad?) and he costs less. Plus he'll stay cheap for multiple years. Y'all just don't believe me when I tell you that there is value to what he does as a receiver.  And they probably realize that he is a better hitter than he has shown this year. In any case, I do believe Maldonado is an improvement this year for us, especially considering the veteran pitchers we have in the rotation. Past this year we need help... |
