Telling you... Sanchez may be the sleeper As I posted earlier, Strom saw something that could be fixed to turn him around. Then, Luhnow stole both Sanchez and Biagini for an outfielder, Derek Fisher, that was not going to make our roster. We got those two pitchers who can help and gave up nothing for them. Verlander seemed to be elated that we got Sanchez. He went out there tonight and dominated for 6 innings. Let's hope this is the beginning of his comeback. You can tell from listening to him that he views this trade to the Astros as a rebirth as a pitcher.

If this lineup hits as it should, no pitcher will want to face them. Correa looks like he could be heating up and so does Bregman. Alvarez continues to hit the ball hard. This team could be scary good for awhile.

Just made it back home. I usually leave after the Astros bat in the 8th. No way was I going to leave early or do anything to jinx the no-hitter tonight though.

Never mind they count all the Teams with multiable Names as part of the Record on this. Dodgers with 26 and Boston with 18 Yankee's with 11 Nice, so we actually have more as an organization than the Yankees.

Congrats to you and SM, being able to witness a new chapter in Astros history last night. My one chance was way back in the early '80's. I had a ticket for Ryan's 5th no-hitter. (A Saturday, if I remember) I made almost 75% of his starts when he pitched in those days. Just happened that a co-worker got sick, and I had to cover for him. Gave away the ticket, and missed the game. Worst overtime, I ever made. " src="//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/superangry.png">

Just made it back home. I usually leave after the Astros bat in the 8th. No way was I going to leave early or do anything to jinx the no-hitter tonight though. Thank you for your sacrifice. I am very superstitious about these things. I first started thinking about a no-hitter after the Mariners batted in the 4th. I remained seated the entire game until the final batter stepped in. No trips for concessions. No restroom breaks. Nothing. When the last batter stepped in and the video board called for everyone to get on their feet, I reluctantly stood up, but I was thinking “if this guy gets a hit, I am going to kick myself!” What a relief it was when I saw the flight of the ball and realized it was going to be the final out. The HOF induction was nice. It was very special to me. I remember them all. I have been blessed to watch all of them play for the 45s/Astros. As each inductee was being introduced a video of them in action during their career was played on the video board in right field. That was nice. After the ceremony, while all the inductees were still mingling on the field, Altuve came out of the dugout and got with Joe Morgan and Biggio and the three of them stood together to be photographed. That is going to be a special photo some day after Altuve is added to the HOF in Cooperstown.

Telling you... Sanchez may be the sleeper He wasn’t too close to 100 pitches and was gassed. It kind of worries me.

He did post about a ton of players, but it did reference Sanchez good many times. I remember saying Sanchez would be more of an offseason move, so the Astros and specifically the STROMFATHER could work with him. I think maybe right on Reddick, in the sense the ashes will try to trade them in the offseason and get whatever prospects that can for him. If Luhnow can find a prospect or two that he really likes in exchange for retic that would be great, but I think the main thing is just freeing up Reddick's money. His outfield spot can be filled in by Tucker....Plus Straw needs playing time as well Gone in the off-season Smith McHugh Marisnick One of the two catchers, or maybe both Rondon Most Likely Gone to Maybe Re-signed. Cole - probably going to be pitching elsewhere next year, but I'm holding out hope on Cole wanting to stay here. Miley - if the Astros are somehow able to re-sign Cole, there will be no money left over for Miley. Maybe traded Reddick - if Astros re-sign Cole and/or extend Springer, the Astros will need a free up salary

I was just thinking..., you couldn’t write a movie script to match what happened Saturday night. The Astros held their inaugural HOF induction ceremony with inductees present who had played for the team all the way back to the Colt 45/Colt Stadium days and the current edition of the Astros honored/rewarded the old guys with a no-hitter. It doesn’t get much better than that.

I was thinking how much Pressure was on Devo coming into the ninth and looking a zero's across the board for hits. Him knowing he needed the three outs without giving up a hit. It has been very rare for a Relief pitcher for the Astros to come in and not give up a single or so.
