If the Black Sox pitch? Maybe if you sweeten the deal good enough.

another publicity stunt by major league baseball. I take it you don't like the idea. I think it's great. Anything to get more attention to "our" sport the better....

My dad was heart broken the day it closed years ago. When they closed the mill it hurt many people in this fine community. My family included. The company that bought them out was from Canada, they only purchased it to close it down and lower their competition.

I knew people who worked there and it supported a lot of families but it smelled terrible,. especially in the summer, We hated when a southern wind was blowing. The Foundry and Lufiin Industries did, too.

I couldn't care less about this kind of stuff. Not until they do it with teams like Tampa Bay or Toronto.

Anything that helps attract more fans and viewers to the MLB, is mostly a good thing in my opinion. (As long as it doesn't affect the rules of the game too much.)

Playing in Omaha for the College World Series and in Williamsport for the LL World Series is great, but, it can be overdone......Personally, I think playing in London was ridiculous. Playing in Mexico makes sense due to having Mexican players,

I hate it for the NFL also.

I would love for there to be spring training games all over the country. Let people outside of the normal group experience it first hand...

I keep seeing that as well, but the sport keeps making more money. I don't think they're losing fans; I think more fans are finding it more comfortable/easier to watch at home. You can buy a 55inch HD 1080p TV for like $400 bucks and watch the games with commentary and ability to pause for free rather than all the driving, parking, fees, ticket prices, etc. I love going to games, but we splurged on a 70inch TV a couple years back, and now I can watch that while sitting on my couch with my daughter and eating a $5 pizza from Little Caesars. But we still buy memorabilia, shirts, etc.

Gas, hotel, tickets, food, drinks, cap or whatever, parking or Uber...it could easily get to $1k.

We live in Houston, but it's still approximately 2 hours worth of driving (round trip), $20-30 for parking, $30-100 for tickets, and anywhere from $20-70 for food/drinks. Even going bare minimum it's considerably more than ordering a pizza and it takes a lot of time. The postseason is a different story, but during the regular season...? It's just not worth it when the TV quality is so good now.

I can sit in my recliner watching my large screen HD TV and eating my own food and drinking my own coke a lot cheaper than I can shell out for a trip to MMP. I have a better seat that is comfortable, no kids stepping on my feet because their parents keep allowing them to run in and out bothering people who want to watch the game, no over-priced concessions, etc. I have a great seat for each game that I paid for when I pay my Directv bill.

It would be interesting to see if some of the major sports would work out a deal to have their own streaming service with no blacked out games.
You pay $10 a month or whatever, and can watch any games, plus be able to stream old games/highlights/etc. Like Netflix for baseball. Plus have it viewable on tablets or phones.
