I can honestly say I never really cared for Fields. If Luhnow traded him for a bag of rice, I’d be like let’s give this trade some time before we have an opinion. |

I was listening to the Orioles radio guys on Sirius XM. Decent radio guys. Made me laugh when AJ challenged the safe call while leading 14-1. The guy said ”if they lose this challenge, they should lose their right to challenge for a week.”
But, at the end, they were not so ready to joke when the Astros went up against that position player and kept swinging for the fences while leading by 19.
Made me wonder, though...how do you guys feel about these two stunts by the Astros?

The guy said ”if they lose this challenge, they should lose their right to challenge for a week.” But, at the end, they were not so ready to joke when the Astros went up against that position player and kept swinging for the fences while leading by 19. Made me wonder, though...how do you guys feel about these two stunts by the Astros? The challenge was weak. The swinging for the fences was just baseball. |

Kind of up there with stealing a base with the same score. OTOH... I don't think good manners dictates that you make outs on purpose during a blow out. |

If you don't like it, institute a 10 run rule. But don't ever tell a player not to try to hit, advance a base or score. |
