82-47 .636 Winning % (On pace for 103 Wins) 7 Games up in the division 1 Game back of NY for the AL Lead
Suarez vs. Greinke
It was good to see the offense wake up a little. It would be even better to see Altuve get hot again. Now that Toro is up it wouldn't surprise me to see Altuve get a full day off this time. Although Toro certainly didn't have a debut for the ages yesterday.

I think we need to be careful not to set our "first game in the big leagues" expectations at Yordan level.

I tried to tell you that White and Stassi were both garbage and you didn't listen.........No,. Yordan is a rare talent and we should not expect Toro or anyone else to get off to the start that he did.

I hope to see Altuve get a day off soon. I wonder if fatigue has increased his level of dumbass.

And I am right more times than not, I remember back when everyone thought Morgan Ensberg was a future star......turned out he was a one trick pony......same for Jason Lane. I was wrong about Richard Hidalgo, who I thought was the real deal and he turned to shit after signing a big contract. Tyler White's swing has a big loop in it due to an uppercut......unless that is corrected, he won't last long. Stassi is clueless at the plate.......always has been and always will be. I will give Toro a good look.........I've seen all I need to see of Mayfield.......a lifetime AAA player.

I want them all to succeed, but, i also usually know when it's time to count your losses and move on. I was impatient with Bregman when he first came up and he turned it around. He looked a lot worse than Tucker did when he first came up. I am not willing to give up on Tucker.

But here's the thing, the guys you claim you were "right" about being bad, all mostly had pretty solid baseball careers. They just weren't long. Lane and Ensberg didn't even play a full season until they were 27 years old. Hidalgo was a 110 OPS+ hitter with 171 HRs and two top-20 MVP seasons in only 9 years (only 6 complete). Players don't have to be superstars to be solid contributors. They don't even need to be everyday players to have value. You understand it with Marisnick, but you seem to disregard it when it comes to others...even other players that are basically the same thing as Marisnick. As soon as a player has a slump, gets a weird tattoo, makes a mental error, or walks wrong off the mound you give up on them and call them garbage or dumb or whatever. That's the point I'm making. I'm not saying you don't know baseball, you just don't demonstrate any patience.

Marisnick is being paid to play defense......White was being paid to hit........Marisnick is great at his job and White was incompetent at his. All you ever mentioned about Stassi was how he framed pitches. He is a terrible hitter and some of our pitchers didn't like to have him catch them.....example: Verlander.

Stassi is 3 for 35 with Anaheim. An .086 average.
His WAR in 2019 is -1.6.
He and White may have a hard time finding a job in 2020.

So our DH gets a day off... Sitting in the dugout is tough on a young player.

So our DH gets a day off... not a bad idea.....we can use him to pinch hit if necessary. The last time he had a day off he came back hammering the ball.
