Nice to see Altuve and Springer getting the day off. It’s not like the Astros are playing for the best record in MLB😳😳😳 I never got this, so called "day off" need in baseball. The level of exerttion for a professonal athlete in this game is not that taxing. Bat 4 or 5 times, ... run the bases on a good day 3 times. Particpate in usually no more that 5-8 defensive plays as an outfielder. Maybe double that at close range and short mobility as an infielder. Pitchers already get off days,,,, at least 4 usually. The only position that an off day that really applies maybe (IMO) is Catcher, do to the up and down wear on the joints. Mental issues? Bahhhh.... Agree totally. |

Baseball is not easy physically, especially when you do it every day. Running, sliding, diving, etc. It all adds up.
