A two-run single can be pretty exciting too. If home runs were an easy way to score, it wouldn’t be that big of a deal. I for one, am not happy with this Home Run Derby aspect of "New Baseball". 75% of the strategic aspects of this game has been ripped from its heart. agree 100%

It'd be nice if the World Series this year came down to pitching and small ball. I just don't anticipate it with the way the scoreboards have exploded this season The last NFL season was one of the highest-scoring ever, but it was capped by a Super Bowl that was the lowest scoring ever I'd love to see that with baseball this year. It'd be a breath of fresh air
So much of the strategy was removed from the game in the AL with the implementation of the DH. Now apparently analytics has pretty much taken the sacrifice bunt, hit and run, and base base stealing out of the game. Watching ML baseball is becoming much like watching slow pitch softball. Just watching players stand around waiting for some guy to knock the ball out of the park. I too would like to see a WS come down to pitching and small ball. I’m not sure the Astros would fare well in that kind of WS though.

Y'all know things are different in the postseason though. There is more strategy and teams do more to try add an individual run here and there. Especially in the WS.

I am really afraid this game is on a path to self-destruction.

This is like astrohop's revenge folks sharing his viewpoint on the AL arcade Astrohop was the ultimate Debbie Downer, but just think of all the hitted balls this season that the hitter thought was a long out, but went over the stands. It''s gotten ridiculous. 20 years from now the bunt, steal, hit and run, will be as archaic as wool jerseys. To me, that is the sad state of the game. My only solice will be that Selig and Manfred will be burning in hell.

I finally made it back online. I had to wait until a few minutes ago to find out whether we won or not. I hate spaghetti when it's behind my electronic stuff.

I think he’s stroking out. Ewww....why would you ever say something like that...Oh, wait, an actual stroke. Not a real stroke, but a virtual stroke from all the junk behind the TV, Computer, Modem and cable box plus other assorted wires.
