Civic, possibly the opposite. God, stop with the stereotype fulfillment. Even worse, I used to have a Camry.

God, stop with the stereotype fulfillment. I know you might think white...or possibly blue.... but I am guessing silver/grey Civic, you? Not saying, Dr. Seuss.

Oh no, brown people, by percentages, can't swim.... I thought they could. Oh, I guess you meant my shade of brown. I don't know how to swim so it's a good thing I was born on this side of the Rio Grande.

I don't know how to swim so it's a good thing I was born on this side of the Rio Grande. never tried? I've tried but the fear my mother instilled in me was too great to overcome. I made sure all of my kids learned how to swim that way they could rescue me.

I've tried but the fear my mother instilled in me was too great to overcome. I made sure all of my kids learned how to swim that way they could rescue me. I may not have a fear of the water, but I’m not a great swimmer. I just give up and float and move my arms and legs.

No one has ever had A 4th consecurivw 100 win season. We are very capable of doing it again next season.

I'm going to give some kudos to Hinch for this too.
Yes, he inherited some great players, but with great players come great egos as well. We sometimes complain about his lineups or maybe his lack of small ball, etc., but it's hard to argue with the results. Despite injuries to most of our best players, calling up a number of rookies to help out, and balancing a sometimes-struggling bullpen, he has managed to likely lead us to another franchise best record. We should be heading into the postseason basically as healthy as we could hope to be, and we're a better team now than when the season started.
Other managers may have done just as well, but I can't imagine any other manager actually doing better. I look forward to seeing him in the postseason again as I feel that's where he has done his best work.
edit: Oh, and barring some catastrophe, he'll be come the Astros winningest manager in franchise history next year.

I get put out with him at times because I think he has a tendency to pay too much attention to analytics, but, I would not replace him and don't know of a manager who would do a better job than he has done. His players like him, respect him, and play hard for him. I don't think Correa would have done any different no matter who managed him....he's a wimp and prima donna. Manager can't control that.

I went out to breakfast before 7 this morning and couldn't get home until after noon. Some areas have flooded worse than Harvey, though that is not true at my house. It's real unusual for my area not to be among the worst. Strange.

I would love to play the flubs in the World Series. This time though, we sweep Chicago.
