Folks, you’ve got to respect JV for the year he has had. He signed the high-dollar extension and then went out and showed he is worth it, rather than slacking off like so many players do when they get the big contract.

Damn, Jake..Here you are the worst player in baseball and you get a leadoff triple. Then, you get left on third base when our hero, the team dumbass, hits a weak fly ball to right. Jake, all you did was give other guys a chance to suck. To Altuve's credit, he had a key home run and RBI double. Big night for Verlander and the Astros as we clinch home field through the WS.
If AJ has to decide between Tucker and Straw as to who gets on the post-season roster, I vote for Tucker. If he is deciding on the last two spots and he has to choose from Marisnick, Tucker. and Straw. I would leave Jake off. My opinion is Hinch will keep Marisnick and Straw and drop Tucker and that is a big mistake. I also think we go with an 8 man pen and that is one too many.

Hinch wants Jake in CF in the late innings. I wish there was a way Strawl, Tucker, and Jake could make it but we will waste a spot on an 8th reliever we shouldn't need. Pressly, Harris, Osuna, James, Peacock, Smith, and Rondon or Abreu would make a great pen. I would leave Miley off but they won't. I just hope AJ uses Urquidy instead of Miley as the 4th starter. If that is the choice, there is no need to take Miley. |

I see you conveniently left out the 1st 3 ABs where he struck out twice (once with 2 men on base to end the inning) and got out on a weak grounder. |
