With this pen, I don't have a lot of confidence in this team making the post-season. Just winning a division is not going to be something the fan base is going to settle for. No, it isn't. If Crane was really concerned, he would send Baker packing. I can't see that we have much of a way to add help for the pen. We have nothing to trade, and, with all playoff contenders looking for pitching, the price will be high for any available pitchers who could help us. We have to get more out of what we have or we don't have much of a chance.

Finally saw what is wrong with Castro......he has soreness in his left achilles. With him on the shelf, Maldonado can accumulate even more K's. Dusty just told a reporter he really didn't want to answer a question because "I'm tired as hell". I was think more in the way of removing splinters. All he does is stand over there in that gay-looking mask and those bright wristbands so I don't see how that should tire him. He is an embarrassment.

The guy asked him when Urquidy would be back and that is what Dusty told him. They said on the telecast that Urquidy would be back for the Red Sox.

Strom and Click, mainly Strom, has to turn this inexperienced/not ready bullpen into something legit by end of season...Right now it's Pressley as the only sure thing and Javier, as the other one you don't cringe when they call upon. And Javier is so green, so he can only be penciled in.... If Verlander can come back by end of the season, and Astros somehow have held onto a playoff spot, his veteran leadership will be welcomed into the bullpen... Hopefully he will not be against the role.... I don't think he will, he's a professional

Admittedly the bullpen is terrible, but look on the bright side. Dusty could be mismanaging a good bullpen!

Last night, we had more than one chance to get a big hit that would have driven in a couple of runs. The only one who succeeded was McCormick with a Sac Fly. He produced all three runs with that sac fly and a two run homer.......Altuve, who is called "MVP", was 0-6 including leaving the bases loaded in the 9th. He had maybe one decent AB. Tucker had two doubles and an overall good game. Yuli has stopped driving in runs and Correa doesn't know what it is to get a two-out hit. Straw managed a lucky double to RF. Mostly, he can be counted on for weak fly balls and K's. He also is the worst baserunner on the team....no clue about reading a pitcher or getting a lead. He was safe when the umpires blew the call at second base because he wasn't tagged. It seemed like whenever we had RISP and two outs, Maldonado would stroll to the plate to strike out. I am also amazed as to why they waste time bringing Garcia back up when they know he is terrible. Why not bring up Siri and see if he can contribute to the offense. I keep remembering how Correa and Alvarez came through when they were given a chance. Give Siri a shot. If he fails, send him back. With Brantley and Yordan out, we need somebody who might hit.

On Siri, It could be they wanted to delay him coming to the majors, until later the season. So they have extended team control for future seasons i... If that's the case that could possibly mean they think higher of him, in comparison to the other players that they're just using as fillers right now..

They waited until June to bring up Correa and Alvarez for that reason. I just hope it's the right thing to do.

I don’t give a crap about Siri. One hitter won’t make a difference if their leads are doomed anyway. They need arms and need it now.

Yeah, forget about the horrible offense last night. It was horrible on both sides until one team’s crappy bullpen came in to pitch. They can’t win every game 15 to 9. I don’t see them making the postseason with this set of relievers. Javier can’t pitch every inning.

Saw today's lineup........Still no Yordan and Stubbs catching. If Yordan can't swing a bat, put him on the IL and bring up somebody.

The hitters scored 3 runs (enough to win most games). The pitchers gave up double digit runs. Y’all blame the hitters. Bizarre.

In defense of the bullpen, they only up gave two runs in 6 innings before that 11th inning, and one of those only scored because of the free runner on 2nd.
At least Framber looked good, and Javier adjusted to the pen nicely.

How many times did we need to go over this, the reliever market was bare....and the ones we were wanting are all hurt now.
