Problem is the Astros have very little in the way of prospects to make a move. Oh, I was talking about Dusty. The best move we could make is to get rid of Dusty. I know why Crane hired him at the time, but, it is proving to be the mistake some of us thought it was. I was 100% opposed for the reasons we are seeing on a nearly nightly basis. He makes terrible moves with the pitching, refuses to use the bunt, we almost never attempt to steal a base, etc. He shows no emotion and it is obvious he can't motivate this team. Here we have a group of mostly young, talented players who are used to winning and used to playing for a manager who knew how to manage them. Yes, Hinch made some mistakes but, not like the ones Dusty makes over and over again. Here we went from a guy in his 40's that could communicate to a 72 year old who has never won a thing and we are seeing why he never won. Hiring an old man just because he is "well respected" is bullshit if he is a bad manager and Dusty is terrible. Keeping him because he is black is even worse. I have an idea being black is one of the reasons he was hired. It is probably the main reason Crane would be afraid to fire him. If Crane could see a breakdown of season ticket holders, I think he'd find that there are not many blacks on the list. Dusty embarrassed many fans with those BLM shirts last season. He looks like a clown wearing those loud wristbands and a different mask every day. Isn't it odd that nobody else in the dugout wears one. He is the only one. If Crane wants this season turned around, get rid of Dusty, bring in Brad Ausmus and let Brad bring his own coaches. The only coach who should stay is Strom.

We look so bad because NONE of the relievers did the job today plus no Brantley, Yordan, or Yuli left big holes in the offense. The bright spot has been what we are getting from McCormick. When Brantley returns, McCormick has earned the right to playing time in CF. I like this McCormick kid. He was a 21st round draft pick. Never considered one of the team’s top prospects. He put up decent numbers in MILB, but nothing special..., but he didn’t quit. He kept plugging away and made it to the bigs. We have a kid at AAA..., Bryan De La Cruz..., who I’ve been monitoring over the last few years. He was signed as a 16 year old in 2013 out of the Dominican Republic. Like McCormick, his numbers in MILB have been nothing special. Like McCormick he has kept plugging away and has worked his way up to AAA where he is off to a really good start this season. I’m curious to see if he eventually makes his way to MLB. I am not sure what I could do as hitting coach, but, I doubt if I could do worse than the duds we have now. McCormick is earning more playing time because he is producing. He shows a lot more promise than Straw. In the beginning, I was not impressed, but, he has won me over. I've never thought Straw had anything going for him but raw speed......speed that he doesn't know how to use. I want to see what Siri and De La Cruz can do. Taylor Jones is showing nothing and needs to be sent back.

Solid player with limited high upside but makes the most of what he's got.

How many times have we seen them needing a single or a low line drive to win a game, and they just simply cannot do it?
