A huge positive for tonight's game is Angel Hernandez won't be behind the plate. Anyone who watched last night's game know why Hernandez is bu far the WORST umpire in major league baseball.

Honestly, Hernandez stinks, but some of the hitters looked at pitches that were in the zone. CC and Castro both struck out on pitches that were in the zone.

Jose should have protected the plate on the one where he was called out. The last time CC struck out, that pitch wasn't close to being in the zone.

Good lord the people on social media complaining about Hernandez "ruining" our no-hitter.
News flash: Nobody should give a shit about a combined no-hitter against the lowly Orioles.

I don't see much value in a 'combined' no-hitter other than winning the game. CG no-hitter for the starting pitcher: Cool. 'Combined' no-hitter for more than one pitcher: uhh ... okay, whatev. JMO

JMO The one the Astros threw against the Yankees back in 2003 that required more pitchers than ever used before was kind of cool, but that was against a dominant Yankee team with a lineup consisting of Jeter, Giambi, Posada, Soriano, etc. And it was because our starter only lasted one inning so the bullpen had to throw 8 hitless innings. But who cares about no hitting the a weak Orioles lineup when your starter went 5 innings? edit: Not to mention that it was actually a 28-Out performance with one of our relievers striking out 4 hitters in the 8th.

Yeah he pitched the first inning and then had to get taken out. I think Pete Munro pitched the "bulk" of the game? I know Lidge-Dotel-Wagner did their thing at the end.

The pitching order Roy, Munro, Saarloos, Lidge, Dotel and Wagner.

CC with the day off. Garcia is covering SS and batting 2nd. Chas moved back down to 7th.
