Dusty is learning. Use Javier in late innings not Raley. Watch Raley come in for the 9th.

Pressly is good, real good. He has saved this bullpen.

When we win a game with this lineup, the stars must be aligned just right.
We continue to see Myle Straw make the case for being our leadoff hitter. He had one hell of a night tonight with a double and three walks. He had great at bats all night and he and McCormick both had great AB's in the 9th before Yuli had a terrible AB by grounding out on the first pitch. He should have had a little patience in that situation.
Pressly keeps being lights out in the 9th. In fact, all three of our relievers turned in great jobs tonight. Maybe Dusty is figuring out that maybe Stanek and Javier should be his guys in the 7th and 8th. I was scared he'd go nuts and use Raley again.
Toro had a good game with a home run and single. We keep seeing why Robel Garcia has no business being on this team. He flat sucks ass.

I wish they would try him leading off for awhile and let Jose bat down in the order to see how it works out. If Straw proves he can handle that, I think our offense would be even better. We will need to put up runs tomorrow because Dusty will go to our weaker relievers.

A's won in walk off fashion over the Red Sox in extra innings.
On a brighter note, I'm enjoying watching all of the crap about Trevor Bauer unfold. LOL

Javier was filthy tonight. If they’re gonna go cheap, maybe they should make him the fireman reliever.

Astros relievers are 18th in strikeouts, natural result of an organization’s philosophy being pitching to contact. Verlander’s mastery of missing bats would be ideal out of the bullpen for an inning if he could make any kind of return

I know there's folks who complained about Stubbs cause I mentioned a few times his lack of PT likely cause management doesn't think he'd be durable long-term as a catcher

Once again, Dusty the genius has outdone himself with a lineup......Taylor Jones is still out there to butcher LF. He misplayed an out into a run scoring double last night. But, the real stroke of genius is having Robel Garcia as DESIGNATED HITTER. LOL LOL LOL The old fool needs to be medicated. Why do you have the WORST hitter on the roster as DH?? LOL LOL

I guess I was speaking more for myself and not everyone here. I haven’t been around long enough to know everyone’s thoughts on Stubbs. I just assumed everyone thought he sucks like me.

It doesn’t help that for a catcher he’s built like a member of the Chess Club.

Playing one game every three weeks with maybe some pinch running in between isn't going to help any young player be effective, whether they're great or not.

Straw is showing what he can do and should be leading off. Toro is proving his value because he is getting a chance. Stubbs never had the chance. We wasted what little there was of 2020 on Garneau instead of using Stubbs.

Playing one game every three weeks with maybe some pinch running in between isn't going to help any young player be effective, whether they're great or not. I wasn't referring to you. You're always honest if you defend a player others aren't because he's scuffling. With an objective rationale like sample size
