No one's disputing hitting .300 for 4 1/2 weeks is awesome. Or that Tuve's slumping right now. Justin pointed out we may be getting worked up over nothing since he's a 7-time All-Star, and Thomas reminded everyone we may be a little spoiled when it comes to him
It's all good Fair enough.

It's all good Fair enough. Being a 7-time All Star doesn't seem to be helping him get out of this slump. When he starts trying to hit home runs on every swing he will probably snap out of it. I love home runs when he sees a pitch he should drive like the one he hit off Manaea last night. But, swinging for the left field fence on every swing is dumb.

Astros win 4-3, despite Altuve having two errors and hitting into a DP.....but does player of the game go to Altuve for hitting a 3 Run HR? Remember, Toddy Bear is the guy who proudly proclaimed Altuve "overrated".

It's all good And Sherwin and I are not saying Altuve isn't having a great year overall especially compared to the rest of the league. We're just saying that he's obviously in a slump (for him) over the last couple weeks, and it seems like he has abandoned his normal approach in favor of trying to hit more HRs. And with that, that we wish he would go back to trying to be more of a contact hitter because history has shown us that he's at his best when he's doing that.

He's probably just resting them in general and using it as an excuse to not get booed. Which, I don't blame him.

He claims he is skipping the AS game to rest a leg injury that isn't serious. Isn’t Correa skipping too? Yes, neither of them are going. Now, we can wait for the media and some opposing players to start the trash talking calling both of them cowards and other names for skipping. They will be accused of not wanting to share a clubhouse with members of teams "they cheated" and not wanting to hear more booing from the fans. Frankly, I wouldn't care if all of our players boycotted the game and didn't go.. They made a big deal tonight on MLB network because DeGrom is not going to show up. They went into a long line of BS about how the players "owe it to the game and the fans" to go put on a good show. The only people the players owe are members of their own teams and fans to be healthy and ready to go after the break to try and win a WS. One of them said Kevin Cash owed it to the fans to have Ohtani lead off and pitch the first inning so the fans all get to see him do both. I want to see who is named to replace Carlos and Jose. You can bet it won't be more Astros.

No Atlanta player should go. I still can’t believe they moved the game. I have to agree that the Braves should not have a player in the game. Since Atlanta got bullied into not allowing the game to be played there due to the actions of the cancel culture morons, they don't deserve to be represented.

I didn't think the Braves had the option to keep the game in Atlanta. I don't think so, but, the city of Atlanta should not be represented at the All Star game. You're as bad as Manfred, if not worse. The Braves have absolutely no say in where the ASG is played. That was strictly a MLB (Manfred) decision based on politics. And that was total horseshit. I would fully respect any Braves player who chooses to boycott the ASG this year. I would fully respect any Braves player who chooses to embellish his resume with an ASG appearance.

Since Atlanta got bullied into not allowing the game to be played there due to the actions of the cancel culture morons, they don't deserve to be represented. And in my opinion, whether or not the individual Braves players boycott, should absolutely not be a team front-office decision. That should be the prerogative of the players, not the team.
