Dusty Baker says Kyle Tucker activated, Chas McCormick placed on the IL (hand) Bryan Abreu called up, Pedro Báez placed on the IL (shoulder soreness) That is good news. Having Chas on the IL to heal that hand is the right thing to do.

With Diaz doing so well, we're in a good position for them to not rush Bregman back. If they can get him healthy again, he's arguably the biggest offensive force in our lineup. I'm glad they aren't pushing him. I am all for them giving Bregman all the time he needs......There is no need to rush him back when Diaz is giving us more offense than we were getting from him. Tucker is the guy we need. For some reason, they seem to want to keep the truth from us as to why he was put in health and safety protocols. I am no authority on COVID, but, I thought to be placed in protocols you were supposed to have some symptoms of the virus. It could be something like a herpes breakout. In that case it is none of our business.

If I recall correctly Tucker missed some time while he was in the minor leagues with Quad Cities and there was never any explanation for his absence. There was some speculation then on the old board that he might have contracted a STD.

You would think a young major league player like Tucker could afford a clean fence to swing for. LOL

Mariners lead the A’s 4-1 in the top of the 8th. Make that 5-1 now.

Time for the Astros to step up as the Oakland loses. Mariners gain another game on the A's One would hope. We have struggled recently to move ahead of Oakland even further and we have had the opportunities.

I agree. Correa for his faults is batting the best over the last 2 weeks (.870+ OPS). The only other I'd want batting third right now is Díaz. Everyone else is struggling, and we can hardly expect guys just coming off the IL not to scuffle a bit before finding a rhythm Tucker took time to get his timing back the last time he was out so we should expect the same this time. We can cut Tucker some slack if he scuffles at the plate coming off the IL. We can do the same for Bregman for the sake of consistency

Brantley could use the rest, but I think we're maybe blaming his health too much. Frankly, I think this is just his AVG/OPS leveling out. He's only hit over .320 once in his entire career. His AVG and OPS+ are both approaching back to where he has mostly been in his previous 6 seasons. I'm concerned his health is regressing to the mean. We've been lucky in the time Brantley's been in Houston if you compare it to the injured time he spent before he was an Astro. Much the same way we were with Charlie Morton

Based juiced and this guy doesn’t have great control so far. Stay patient.

Caught some breaks and got three......official scorer helping the Astros batting averages. LOL We are hitting the ball hard and Singer's control appears to be off. Nice to lead 3-0.

No wonder the Royals are a losing team. Look at them out there stealing bases! So old school.

No wonder the Royals are a losing team. Look at them out there stealing bases! So old school. Strom needs to work with our pitchers on keeping runners close to the bases. He MUST get Garcia to stop with all the wasted motion doing his dance step. Taylor nearly stole home on him because of it.
