The Cubs pitcher tonight has been dominant... Doesn't (hasn't) missed many bats. Low BAbip and high strand rate. ERA is super low but 4.12 xFIP paints a different picture. Not that he isn't good, but he strikes me more as an Urquidy type than an ace. Should be able to get to him a little. So we'll probably get destroyed. |

It would be one thing if it was just this year, but he was pretty good in the minors and good over 24 starts last year too. |

The Cubs' weakness is the bullpen. Outside of Alzolay and Leiter they don't have much depth there. Work the pitch count on Steele.

Can Crane just step in and release Maldy? Dusty will never bench him so long as he’s on the active roster.

I found out they did a tribute video for Trey Mancini yesterday. So, does every former player get one now? Wonder what it looked like... *fade in, some dumb rap song starts playing* *slow motion of Mancini jogging out of the dugout* *right when the refrain of the song hits, they show that one play he made at 1B in the World Series* *slow motion of Mancini running around smiling after the final out of the World Series* *fade out* Thanks a bunch, Trey! |

He did in the beginning, maybe for a week or two….. then became obsolete for 2 1/2 months……and later fielded one tough grounder at 1B…….got a ring….. |

Hey he hit 8 HRs in 51 games. That would be 25 over a full season.... He just didn't do anything else.
