Bounce back game! Even it up! Send Daniela over to the Yankees clubhouse for complimentary massages... Had to say something completely stupid to make this team win tonight.... Yesterday, Bortaz's: I feel good about this game didn't work.....so this is an opposite, different approach... |

It might be time to shake things up a bit tonight. I would start Diaz in LF. He is 4-8 lifetime vs Paxton with a HR and 2 doubles. No way would I start Reddick. He is 0-7 lifetime vs Paxton. I know this sounds crazy, but I would give Jake a start in CF and move George to RF. Believe it or not, Jake is 7-21 lifetime vs Paxton with 4 doubles,,,, including 2-3 with 2 doubles this year. Let Brantley DH and save Yordan’s bat for pinch hitting in the right situation. Correa has actually hit Paxton well in his career. Maybe he will break out with a good game tonight.
It may be time to start talking about moving Springer down in the order. That’s what we were doing when he broke loose in the 2017 playoffs.

This game is crazy important. It is hard to understand how our offense can go completely missing for stretches. So many good to great hitters and it is almost like they are fused together, they either hit like crazy or not at all. I agree it is time to mix things up a little and see what happens. Another night like last night and things are real ugly.

I don't expect any major changes in the lineup. Hinch has to have nine in the lineup so some who should sit will have to play.......I saw NO effort from a few last night. They went to the plate without a clue. |

We need a couple of guys to get hot.....but, the main thing we need to do is be more selective at the plate and stop trying to pull every pitch. |
