They can lose it in Yankee Stadium how great would that be. I can only dream that. I was just saying I probably shouldn't wear my Astros hat to the meeting with my boss at Este Lauder. LOL He always gets riled when I wear the Astros or Cowboy Hats at work.

The next 2 games are now must wins for the Yanks. They are not beating Verlander and Cole back to back in Houston

WHEW That was nerve-rackin. Cole was far from his best and still pitched 7 shutout innings.....good job by Harris and Osuna. I like our chances now.....The Skanks cannot end the series in Yankee Stadium. I love it when that asshole, ARod, has to eat crow. I'd love to get the unexpected wins from Greinke and the bullpen game. Me, too......I'll be happy with one of them. Nats on the way to sweeping the Cardinals....lead 2-0 in first.

If the Astros offense every comes alive it could be a very short series. Though I really don't think that will happen. Though How Sweet Would that Be. They would be chasing Boone out of town on a Broom Stick

If tomorrow is a washout, Grienke can start game 4 and JV game 5.

If tomorrow is a washout, Grienke can start game 4 and JV game 5. That's what I said earlier, however many feel they still would want JV at home for game #6.
Tough call though and may depend on Greinke. If the Astros go up 3-1 then I can see Urquidy but a 2-2 tie may force their hand with Verlander and hope Urquidy at home would be better.
I very well may stick with Urquidy for Game #5 regardless and hope for the best as Verlander and Cole at home would be hard to beat.

Straw is not on the ALCS roster. Great win. We needed that one. Well that explains that then.

Reddick earned himself another start.
Altuve continues to impress. He just seems to be popping up everywhere doing anything he can.
Brantley is coming around too.

I’m wrong about Brantley. He doesn’t look tired. Two hits and a walk today. Gotta get hits with runners on.

What a badass win today. Cole was amazing, Altuve was reliable again, Reddick showed us he still has power, and Springer got in a rundown which salvaged our chances at playing add-on. I hope we win again tomorrow, but more than the usual suspects have to hit.

The rest of this series all we have to do is play .500 ball. When you consider we need 2 wins to advance and we have Greinke, Verlander, Cole and whoever throwing the other game, you have to love our chances. Group hugs for everyone.

Hard to figure out how Correa could be so good in game 2 and totally suck today, He didn't have a clue at the plate. Could have drawn a couple of walks but swung at pitches that were not close to the zone.

Greinke: 0-2 3 RF (1.50) 17 RA (8.5)
One reason why the Astros have given up so many runs on their loses is because of the pitchers they've put in from their bullpen when the game was already out of hand. If Greinke can keep the Yankees to 2 runs or less through 6 innings then I think the Astros can take that game and then the series is theirs.

For a team so storied and with historic accomplishments, their fans are pure trash.
They must hire a 1000 yellow short buses to ferry this crowd from the stadium to the slums.

Beating a dead horse I know... but the media narrative in this game is:
REPLAY COSTS Yanks runner before Gleyber's HR
and
How the Yankees LET Gerrit Cole & Co. off the hook
The media can't stand the fact that the Yanks were actually beat. All I see are excuses.

Media will always pull for the Yankees no matter what or who they play.

This series seems a ton like the Dodgers World Series in '17.
-Lose the first from start to finish -Come back (after a HR by the other team) to tie the game and win in extras (11th) inning -Astros get off to a fast start and keep the lead late to win
Remember in that series Verlander lost game #6 (which he's in line to start again this series). Hopefully Greinke can pull one out so we have two shots at moving on to the World Series in '19

But how can we ever beat the much ballyhooed Yankee relief corp? They are SOOOO GOOOD and invincible that they don't need starting pitching. I think I've heard that song before.
