I find it absolutley hilarious that the idiot Halos think and want to add Cole to their disaster of a team. Just think... Cole's theoretical 7 WAR doesn't even bring this pathetic franchise up to .500 (72 wins in '19)

Cole- $300M (estimate)
$966M for 3 players

There's a reason why Springer has not signed an extension yet with only one more year remaining now. And, while I'm sure Cole would consider staying, he's going to get a ton of money practically anywhere, and his family is on the west coast. I just don't see it happening. The main thing in our favor is that his wife and Verlander's wife appear to be pretty close friends now. But, when you're as rich as they'll all be (or already are), a flight to visit is easy. |

I didn’t want to start a new thread for this, so I think this fits ok in this thread.
Today on MLB Network Radio, Mike Trout said he is waiting by his phone to hear the Angels made a big acquisition. Umm maybe if you weren’t getting paid so much your team would have room to make some acquisitions.

Trout's money seems like a bargain right now, but his recent "injury proneness". has to be a worry for the LAA organization. If his peformance starts being impacted by lingerng injuries, they may have a Pujols Part 2 situation. |
