I have a feeling the Astros may bring back Straw for Abreu (since Abreu didn't get much play at all in the ALCS (2 hits, 2 bbs and 2 ERs in 2/3rds of an inning was not good). Pressly should be back as I thought. Scar tissue from the knee surgery was what he was concerned about and he says he'll be fine by game #1.
The only reason why I see the Astros carrying an extra pitcher again is in case of blowouts and not wanting the Nats to see their bullpen too much before game #4
Pitchers- Verlander Cole Greinke Harris James Osuna Peacock Pressly Smith Urquidy Rondon Catchers- Chirinos Maldanado Infielders- Yuli Altuve Correa Bregman Diaz Outfielders- Brantley Springer Reddick Tucker Marisnick Straw
DH- Alvarez

Do they get to change it? I thought I heard that it's the same as the LCS unless someone is injured and needs to be replaced.
I drink, though, and might have imagined it.

DH- Alvarez Looks good to me, but I doubt Pressley will be able to play. At least based on what his reaction was to that run to cover first base last night. Question is .. who takes that spot?

In this case you are probably remembering the comments about CC Sabathia not being eligible for the WS; therefore, effectively ending his career since he was replaced on the ALCS roster. Rules are bit funny for the WS.

AJ doesn't seem too concerned and I hear reports that Pressly will be ready for game one......I think they are allowed to reset the roster prior to the WS if they choose to do so. I would like to see Straw added and I suppose drop Abreu since he wasn't used. If Pressly can't go, we can keep Abreu and drop him for Straw. Pressly says he will be ready. www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/27882694/astros-reliever-ryan-pressly-knee-says-ready-world-series

That suprises the hell out of me. I thought he was finished for the season.

As I thought in the moment, After knee surgery, many times if feels like you did something with the fluid floating around. It's the reaction of that scares you. He looked liked he could be fine and according to him he will be ready.
Now, who's to say that he could pitch much but it appears he will be on the roster

He tore scar tissue loose. Hurts, but it really needs to be done for full range of motion. It'll swell some, but he should be fine if he can handle the pain.
