Man, you’ve got to keep up with these players instead of throwing random darts at the wall. All he does is google "top prospects for <team>", rights it down, adds a couple of low-end Astros players to the mix, and posts here. What is wrong with that?

Also the Astros have checked on L. GURRIEL. Apparently the Jays would trade Gurriel for a Pitcher or two. I understand its a long shot but Reddick has to go and with Tucker up and ready adding another Young OFer like Gurriel wouldnt be a bad move for the future if you plan on moving on from Brantley and or Springer in a year.

Could it be George’s last season here?

Reddick is a hard move.
But this Gurriel talk from the Blue Jays is interesting.
Recent news is The Padres are looking for a Impact player and are willing to kove some of there top tear talent to do so.
I doubt Correa fits that mold

Astros met with Zach Wheelers agent yesterday and to continue today let's see a link that proves it..........We don't want to hear your standard bullshit about "confidential sources". If it is factual, Wheeler would be a good signing.

Trading Springer would be ideal if someone from the minors could replace him If Springer were to make it obvious he wants to test free agency, he'd bring in a much better haul in a trade than guys who are injured, ineffective and unproven
If keeping Springer until he's no longer under contract is the plan, adding via free agency is what clubs in our position do. The front office has a tough job this winter They need to be aggressive and lock him down. You can’t just go to the minors and replace a guy who’s been legendary in the postseason for his team the way Springer has been. It’s time to start looking at him as significant to team success as Altuve, especially with the whole outfield set to hit free agency. Buster Olney has an interesting piece today if the Astros hadn't manipulated his service time, Springer would be a free agent this winter I'm wondering if George decided a long time ago he didn't want to play here after his arb-controlled years expired

Now is the time to seriously negotiate a contract extension with Springer. If we can't get it done, start planning what to do if we lose him. Getting him locked down is more important that signing free agents right now.

Getting him locked down is more important that signing free agents right now. A Springer departure would be a major blow....but if he wants to play elsewhere, then that is his choice...He grew up being a big Red Sox fan.... Can't blame if he wanted to go there, because if I were a MLB star; and I was in the similar situation, I would like to come play for the Astros when my contract was up...

We need to find out if he really wants to play here. They can do that by offering him what he is worth to the team. He is worth a 5 yr/$125 million contract. He is really worth as much or more than Altuve but won't get it.

I think they'll soon acknowledge the fact that they can't let the tax threshold dictate their dealings. They want to be competitive for more rings, and they can't do that while toeing the line on that stupid threshold.

I realize that we need to upgrade the pen and add another starting pitcher, but, Springer should be the top priority now. Those who think they can't let the tax threshold determine what they do are right. Letting guys like George walk makes no sense. If the team starts going downhill, revenue will decline........ticket and merchandise sales. I don't think they come up wit h the money it would take to sign Cole. In addition to Wheeler., other pitchers to look at include Michael Wach and Odorizzi as starters....They should definitely see what it would take to sign Will Smith. Not having a quality lefty in the pen has hurt them at times. Let Rondon and Devenski go. Keeping Joe Smith would be OK but certainly not essential. The current reliever to concentrate on is Will Harris.

Considering a nut job like Mike Fiers was the whistleblower, I call sour grapes.......the jackass was left off the post season roster and then let walk so he wants to whine.....Screw Mike Fiers.

Eventually we're going to have to just admit that our team culture is pretty shitty and that they are ok with cheating. Most fans won't care.

Funny how people are making the Nats heroes now because of this. Where was our sign stealing in the postseason? Does this make the Nats better cheaters?
