Tomorrow is a HUGE swing game.
They beat our big 3- 2 games to 1. If we win tomorrow then they'd have to do that again.

I'm telling you guys the Nats success over the past 20 or so games is unsustainable. Their RISP took a massive correction tonight. The other stuff will head toward the mean- both ways.

My takeaways tonight......
*. Broadcasting- Is the best that Fox has to offer for the biggest stage in baseball? Pathetic. My favorite face palm moment from Smoltz tonight on an outfield catch? "Just in Plenty of Time". Buck's butchering of English language is getting old too.
* Bullpen- What was our Achilles heel has strangley become a strength. Gutsy Harris performance tonight. 2 hits in 4 2/3 tonight overall for the pen. OUTSTANDING!
* The offense is waking up. 11 hits might not sound like many, but for the team it is a absolutley positive trend. Add the fact that each of our 1-2-3 hitters, Springer, Altuve, Brantley all got 2 hits each. Let's hope the trend continues.
* Bregman's woes- Our star offensive player has gone to sleep. An IBB to get to him tonight ought to send him back the Hotel to do some soul searching, or some studying that IPAD to adjust.
*. Another well managed game by A.J. Can't argue with any of his moves, with exception of maybe making a double switch in the 5th to give Josh James another inning.
* The Gnats lost their 8 game post season winning streak tonight. They were probably thinking they were invincible, but tonight?..... Got their noses bloodied. Let's hope that deflated bubble carries over tomorrow.

Can't move Bregs down in the order but I wouldn't mind moving him up to 2nd with Altuve and Brantley to follow. |

In any case, he needs to driop that sullen downtroden look, and put his big boy pants on. He's the offensive leader of this team, and if he's feeling beat, it can't help the morale of rest of the team. |

Books needed to keep up with which are which. Wonder if the replay booth would have ruled that the wind off the tightly spinning pitch caused Altuve's uniform to move.  |
