That's 14 strikeouts for the Astros in this game.
Giles hasn't walked a single batter all season.
Bad day at the plate with RISP but when you've got the best pitching staff in MLB sometimes you can get away with that.

The mean mug at the end of the game wasn't necessary. Striking out the side in a one run game to save the game. I'm surprised he didn't take down his pants and take a dump

2 1/2 game lead in the division now. Yup, Angels falling back down to Earth as I figured. The division will be ours still before this season is done with

think about this, the Yankees and the Astros, two of the best hitting teams in the game and only 8 hits and 3 runs for both teams combined. Pitching was so good it could of been an all star game.

Charlie Morton sure has been worth the price of admission, eh?

Astros pitching now with a team WHIP of exactly 1.00. Batting avg against is .201. Insane.

Charlie Morton sure has been worth the price of admission, eh? Morton is not pitching like a guy who was surprised to get a 14 million dollar two year deal. Let s do that one again.

The mean mug at the end of the game wasn't necessary. Well, I’ll give him a pass if he can dispatch more hitters in that fashion.

Dominating performance from Morton and Giles and good job by Devo......I had no problem with Peacock walking Judge with a base open. Great game....now if the hitting will pick up. We need a DH not named Gattis.
No other team has a #5 starter who is 4-0 with an ERA well under two. Our #5 should be Keuchel......I'd rate them in this order.......Verlander, Cole, Morton, McCuller, Keuchel. If Keuchel keeps going as he is now, I would put him in the pen and move McHugh into the rotation. I would but Hinch won't

I'd gladly put Peacock in the starting rotation if it meant we had McCullers to lock down the later innings.

McTaggart was on MLB TV today saying that he doesn't expect Gattis to be removed from the DH spot "at least through the end of June"

While Keuchel's mechanical skills are in decline, I think his ego will keep him pitching well enough to serve as a decent 5th starter (effectively speaking) through the end of the season. Postseason rosters will be drawn up based on who gives the team the best chance of winning.
