And Bortaz said it would be Cole. What a maroon

That 0.80 WHIP was vicious. It'd be interesting to see the last time a starter pulled that off over 220 IP in a single season

@brianmctaggart: Here's the AL Cy Young voting, and it was so close: 1. Verlander, 171 points (17 first-place votes) 2. Cole, 159 points (13 first-place vote...

And Bortaz said it would be Cole. What a maroon I thought Cole would win it based solely on his feminine, high-pitched voice.

I feel like it should have been closer. Like 17-16

I backed Mr. Verlander the whole way! I am super excited for JV.

Crane to Cole: I mean I really don’t know what you want from us. It’s not like you won a Cy Young or anything.

The voters got it right......I would have given it to Verlander, too..Screw Cole and his Boras cap.

You couldn't go wrong either way. I felt JV had been screwed out of a couple others so I'm glad he got this one.

There’s no question about it, JV is a BAMF. No one should be surprised he won it.

You couldn't go wrong either way. Agreed. I felt JV had been screwed out of a couple others so I'm glad he got this one. The only one that really stands out to me is 2016 when Porcello won and two writers who cover the Rays didn't include Verlander anywhere on their 5-player ballots.

Sounds like something Mrs. Carlos Correa would come up with.

Agreed. One would expect vulgarity from a primitive screwhead on a baseball forum. Not from someone who is somebody. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

He deserved it in 2012 over Price as well. 20+ more innings thrown, the best ERA+ in the league, better WHIP, led the league in Ks, and 6 CGs.

Congrats JV! Really bummed with all the negative press going around surrounding the Astros. Hope this BS doesn't take away from JV and Yordan's awards and spectacular season.
