7: I mean, it is what it is. Sometimes you just have to tip your cap. 5: Tell that to Yuri Biggio, regarding Dierker ca. 1998: If he doesn’t like it, he can go grab a bat and give it a try.

Who is the possible replacement for Luhnow? I thought he was the best GM in baseball, it's going to be really hard to fill his void.

LOL They can't be seriously be considering that stupid SOB or the dumbass who uses a toothpick for his pacifier, Bochy would be a decent choice.......I am not too high on Showwalter. I still think they need a guy with ties to the Astros of the past.

I still want former astros bench coach Adam Everett to be the skipper. I don't think you can promote Espada because he was here in 2018. And the report said we still did some Red Sox like cheating in 2018 with the video room. So letting Espada manage is not going with a clean slate

I just decided to think as far out of the box as possible. Two names I thought of are Jose Cruz and Zack Greinke as a player Coach. Cruz fills the old school and historically connected concept if he were willing to come out of retirement. Greinke has a combination of cerebral and calculating thought as shown by his transition from a power pitcher to a finesse pitcher and also the ability to hit. He also has the personality to split duties unlike the ultra-focused Verlander.
But I've always been on the Adam Everett bandwagon from his days as a player. So he'd be good as well.
I'd love to see Biggio, but I don't think he's interested at this time.
Remember, these are way outside the box suggestions.

Somebody somewhere mentioned Ensberg or Everett. Both could be good fits.

We are interviewing Will Venable today for coach. He’s only 37 and he as a lot of good things said about him as a future manager. He would be similar to Hinch, a player’s coach and an embracer of analytics.

There is one thing we might see less off with Hinch/Luhnow out and I know a lot of people around here will like.
Less fielding shifts...

There might be slight changes, but these are still all of Luhnow's people. I would bet very little changes unless a new GM with an entirely different approach comes in. I expect we'll still be very analytical in our approach.

I don't think they need to hire anyone without a connection to the Astros. PR and fan appeal is necessary at this time. We don't get that with Banister, Baker, Showalter or Bochy, The only one of those guys i would consider is Bruce Bochy amd that would be after Biggio and Ausmus turned down the job. Everett might not be bad and I like Berkman. I never cared for Ensberg, but, I think he has done a good job for the organization.
