It will get worse until we retaliate. I think it's past time for payback. I saw the pitch that hit Bregman and that was no accident. Time to plant one in the ribs of the best top player of the opposition.

I like how the players are acting oblivious to it.

A few of them were obviously not plunkings though. Bregman's sure seemed like one though.

I like how the players are acting oblivious to it. I doubt if turning the other cheek is the right way to stop this..........I lean toward "an eye for an eye".

I think they'll mostly take their lumps unless someone goes for the head and/or injures a batter. If Altuve ends up with a broken hand (a la Bagwell), there might be an issue.

I think they will take their lumps for a little while. They will get tired of it after a while and then retaliate. That said, I suspect opposing teams will continue to use the ball as a weapon against our guys until such time as our guys retaliate. Our guys may eventually have to use the Juan Marichal approach to stop it. I hope it doesn’t come to that.

If they're going to be HBP a lot, I hope Dustbag opens the gates on the running game. If a bunch of those HBPs end up scoring, the other teams will lose interest in doing it.

We need to try to take care of the situation before we have a major injury to one of our core players. All of this "take your lumps" crap is pure bullshit........you protect your players. You don't just bow your head and take it.

You don't just bow your head and take it. I don't disagree. I just think that most of them are not looking to have things grow any further because of their actions. JV or Lance may plunk a couple in retaliation, but I really don't expect much. I also don't really expect that much during the regular season. Maybe some brushbacks and a couple plunks, but nothing major.

Maybe a few to start the season but then they'll dwindle off. Especially if we can make them pay by driving those runners in. Pitchers won't want to see the Astros inflate their ERAs.

We can lead the league in HBP for all I care as long as 1) they don't seriously injure anyone and 2) the Astros bring a WS trophy home.
