So with Collin signing with the Red Sox, thus ends his tenure with the Astros (at least for now). Collin ended up with the following numbers as an Astro after he was a virtual nobody waiver claim from the Rockies:
58-35 3.63 ERA (110 ERA+) 1.219 WHIP 195 Games (110 Starts)
As a starter from 2014-2017 he averaged a record of 12-7 with a 152 IP per season, and then he had some dominant numbers as a reliever going 6-2 with a 1.99 ERA .912 WHIP in 2018.
He also had a pretty good postseason career with us at: 2-1 3.60 ERA .850 WHIP.
Good luck, Collin! (Just not against us.)

I think that Collin McHugh was one of Luhnow’s greatest diamonds in the rough. I’ll never forget his performance in the ‘15 ALDS stepping up the way he did to put the Astros back on the map. Good luck to him.

I would think it probably came down to more money from incentives and/or a desire for a fresh slate after all the drama. I would have liked him back, but he's a pretty big question mark health-wise at this point.

We could have used McHugh in the pen. Our new GM has some work to do.

I fully believe our 1-3 are set in stone and it's time to see how Framber and James do in the 4th and 5th spots - they have both been extremely good this spring thus far. We also have Pruitt and Whitley to try out if one of those two don't work out.

Now that you bring it up he will more than likely get the 4th spot and James/Framber/Pruitt will fight for the 5th spot.

He's looked really good this spring. He should be the #3 or #4 in the rotation. We have to find a #5. I would like to see James win the job,

Josh James has allowed just one hit and has not walked a batter in 5 IP. That is very encouraging.

The “I wish I did something” line is a bigger lie than the scandal itself. I wish these guys would spare us.

So exactly which one of McHugh's comments throws us under the bus?

I think you and I have a different definition of what "throwing someone under the bus" means. I see nothing in McHugh's comments that throws the Astros under the bus.
Mike Fiers on the other hand, his comments threw us under the bus.
