It doesn’t really matter. They’re not a part of the team anymore. The hate for the Astros is still very real. Those who were consistently eliminated by the Astros hate them because they could not beat them. In this case, hate and jealousy go hand in hand. These teams probably did the same thing the Astros supposedly did.......or worse........and still lost so they hate the Astros for beating them. |

Season would be 21 days old today. How can this season be meaningful at all? Players never finished up spring training. Have to start all over again gearing up. Good luck MLB. Maybe it starts June 1st. A 4 month season.

Maybe it starts June 1st. A 4 month season. I don't know how many articles I read and this commissioner no matter what it takes wants to get the season going. Just looking if June 1st was a starting date, up to that point the Stros would have had 60 scheduled. People would start looking at the start of college and pro football starting. How much interest in a team that might be buried quickly in the standings. The only thing close you could compare this with was the 81 strike season. Where they split the season in two halves. If a remember correctly some teams had better records and still didn't qualify for the tournament. No matter how you look at it, not a fun filled season for a Baseball fan. |

I don't think I'll get too excited about a Baseball season this year until we learn more about this plan. |

Start real games on the 4th of July for symbolic purposes. 81 game regular season. Normal postseason. Sure, some of the yearly awards might be a little strange (MVP, CY, etc.) but it's still a season.
