On what planet does Kole Calhoun have two hits in the same inning?

There was some horrible poster that ran Erin off once, who was that DB? I can't remember his handle, but he was a Met fan and he had Finding Nemo in his avatar

Why was Lance allowed to get hammered without a visit from Strom? He was allowed to pitch to at least two hitters more than he should have. We still have time if the pen can shut them down. Altuve needs a rest....he's pitiful

McCullers must have been tipping pitches or something, He went from great to terrible like flipping a light switch. We can hope it is not an injury.

They need to stop embarrassing Dusty in interviews by asking him about pitching which he clearly knows nothing about.

Lance is a reliever. They keep putting him in as a starter and he has neither the physical health or stamina to pitch successfully more than 2-3 innings in most cases. At best, you get 5-6 innings out of him...never more. You can see it in his numbers for his career:
1-3 innings: .222 BAA .649 OPS Against 4-6 innings: .265 BAA .765 OPS Against
(These numbers are very similar with the times he faces hitters. The first time around is normally quite good. After that....not so good.)
As soon as Urquidy is back, I'd like to see this:
Rotation:
Christian Javier Zach Greinke Justin Verlander (hopefully?) Framber Valdez Brandon Bielak
That adds to your your bullpen with the firepower and curveballs of James and McCullers, both of whom who have pitched in high pressure reliever situations.

The FO has just always been set on him needing to be a starter. I think he would be perfect in an Andrew Miller-type role where he could even be used for a couple innings earlier on in close games. A bridge to set-up guys and closers, sort of.

I think they keep McCullers in the rotation, but, with Osuna likely finished for the season, I might take a look at using Lance as the closer. If Verlander comes back, I'd go with him, Greinke, Javier, Urquidy and Valdez. I like Blelak in the pen
The way Dusty handles pitchers makes me miss AJ Hinch.

I heard the comment about the Ferrari. He can turn the Ferrari into a used VW with the way he handles it.

I’m not too worried about Lance. Normally, I would just cast off the reliever talk, but he did just come off TJS so I think they should chill with him. However, this team is full of “not a starter but a reliever” guys:
McCullers James Valdez Urquidy (possibly)
They better hope Verlander isn’t hurt too badly because Javier and Bielak can only shoulder so much of the load.

Well some "not starters" are really "not anything". But McCullers and James have always appeared better as relievers. Urquidy, too soon to tell. Valdez is so inconsistent he may be a "not anything"...we'll see.

However, he’s a box of chocolates.

Don't shit on Corch’s parade. Well, i had hopes of finally seeing why Luhnow refused to trade him. I always agreed with Luhnow's decision, but, Whitley seems to be suspended or injured all the time. What is wrong with him this time?
