Well, it wasn't exactly pretty but we managed to win the series. The offense had two good days straight, and it sounds like Verlander and Yordan are making progress. If we can get Altuve back to being Altuve, and the offense stays consistent, we could maybe get something going finally.
Remember, we don't need to win the division (who would care about the division winner in a 60-game season?), we just have to get to the postseason. If Verlander gets healthy and Greinke continues his recent tear, who knows what we coul do in the postseason. I'm still not convinced we're good enough, but they have a chance to turn things around.

This isn't just a slump. You don't go from one of the best hitters in baseball after the all-star break the previous year, to one of the worst full-time starters in the league.... It's doing me a concern. |
