It all depends on if Harden doesn't flop like most postseasons, and if Westbrook can come back and play.

This abbreviated season works to the Rockets' advantage. Undersized lineups can't withstand the 100+ regular and postseason games you need size & weight in the NBA to advance to the finals Eventually these D'Antoni Rockets teams wear out from the physical demands that many games takes to play, just like the Steve Nash teams he used to coach in Phoenix had similar issues in the playoffs
This season may be different though. Maybe we won't be exhausted when the time comes to launch 20+ 3-point attempts in a potential Game 7 if we can make it back to the semifinal round

I'm hoping the long break and such has kept Harden from getting worn out. Which I believe is part of the reason for his failures in the postseason. He looks chunky to me though. |
