14-10
Confidence is high now despite the injury bugs. Let's see how long they can ride this train.
And I have to admit, I owe Framber an apology thus far. I didn't think he was going to be anything but a AAAA player.

The report on Bregman was better than I expected, but, we still need to keep our fingers crossed. Hopefully, we can keep getting the hitting we had last night. We need a good start from Javier.

Springer Altuve Correa Reddick Gurriel Tucker Toro Jones Maldonado
Let's hope the young guys have another great day. Yuli, Springer, and Altuve have torn this pitcher up in the past.

If Altuve wakes up and realizes he should not try to pull everything, that could help straighten him out and we need that if he is to stay in the #2 spot. I still don't understand using Reddick as the cleanup man.

I still don't understand using Reddick as the cleanup man. Well one of his hits was up the middle and he hit a liner to RF yesterday. Signs of progress. As for Reddick, I think it's to split up the righties and lefties in the middle of the order. Correa (R) Reddick (L) Yuli (R) Tucker (L)

Since he did it last night, I suppose he wanted to leave it. I agree on Altuve......the signs are there if he keeps that approach. He is killing the team trying to pull everything. He probably leads the league in hitting grond bslls to the left side.

I don't mind him being pull happy as that's always been a part of his production. The difference so far this year is that he hasn't been hitting things very hard when pulling them, and then he isn't making as much contact spreading bad pitches around for infield singles and bloopers. I don't believe he has beat out a single weak grounder for a hit yet this year, which is surprising. So some of it is just bad luck with placement. If he starts seeing the ball better and getting more confidence on taking pitches, he should start hitting the ball harder even if he is pulling it. He's never been great at spreading the ball around unless he gets beat on an outside pitch and plinks it to right.

I wish we knew how many times he has gotten himself out swinging at the first pitch when it was out of the zone. He has no patience. I know that is part of his approach but it's not working. He needs to take some pitches and make adjustments. He is going after the pitcher's pitch instead of looking for HIS pitch. I don't know why a pitcher ever throws him a strike the way he is going now. They don't have to throw strikes to get him out.

My opinion is that the patient approach doesn't really work well for him in general. The problem this year is that he hasn't been seeing the ball well (or is guessing instead of reacting) and he's been swinging at bad pitches early in the count.

It may have absolutely nothing to do with it, but, to me, this is a different team without Cintron in the dugout. I wonder if maybe he is some type of toxic presence in the clubhouse somewhat. Or maybe at least a dark cloud from the 2017 sign-stealing.
I'm probably looking too far into it, but they're 7-0 without him and they look like a different team.
