Well ZG just got screwed... Diaz should have called Yuli off and made the play. No excuse for that run scoring. We are back in the rut of scoring in the first inning and then doing nothing. That can come back and bite you. I am assuming Jose left the game because he made that terrible slide into third base, a slide which was unnecessary since no play was being made there. I hope he doesn't go on the IL because of it. They say Bregman, Urquidy, Devenski, and Peacock are all going on the road trip with the possibilty of all being activated. Urquidy could get a start in one of the DH games Saturday in Anaheim. I wish they would forget about Devenski...he is about as useless as Biagini and Sneed. Getting Bregman back before the Oakland series would be huge. I don't understand Baker playing Garneau and Mayfield. He has forgotten he has Stubbs and Straw. |

I have to give Sneed credit for a good game before the home run by Choo. Greinke was good enough to get the win. Big day for Brantley. A good sign also is George and Yuli both having two hits apiece.
I think it's ridiculous that we have to play a 5 game series in Oakland which means 8 of our 10 with them are out there. I wonder if the guy who tested positive for them when they were in Houston was even with the team at the time. I also wonder how many games the A's are going to have to make up...the entire series with the Mariners was postponed. There should be a minimum of games they have to play.
