We just saw the perfect example of why we don't belong in the playoffs..........first three get on base......next three strike out,two of them looking. Bregman looked like an idiot standing there with the bat on his shoulders with the bases loaded. We manage a run on a wild pitch.Pathetic

His swing looks better because his approach seemed different.......not trying to pull and going to right. We have so many hitters who are either incapable or don't want to take advantage of the shift and hit the opposite way. Yuli and Bregman are both clueless......Bregman wasn't very good before his injury and has been worse since his return. Tucker seems to be snapping out of his slump. Hearing Blum blame the lack of offense on not having fans in the stands was laughable......Nobody else has fans in the stands, either. In my opinion, they are trying too hard to prove they can hit as well and win without knowing what pitch is coming.....OR they all were cheating, knew what pitch was coming, and, can't hit nearly as well now that the sign stealing was exposed and stopped. Tucker was not part of the scandal and he seems to be doing better than most of them that were involved. This season was doomed from the beginning.......the scandal, the COVID stuff, and, then the injuries to key pitchers showed up. |

What a sad state of affairs we've fallen into when our best hope is that our team stumbles into the playoffs due to weak amended pandemic rules and then relies on the whimsical fates to help them win. I'm with Bortaz, they are playing pitifully right now...There is no reason to get excited about a team who makes into the playoffs, because they are in a division mainly comprised of teams that are cake walks for opposing teams... In the days of participation trophies, if the Astros somehow don't utterly screw it up, they will make the playoff...by participating.... I don't even think the African kids will want to wear Astros 2020 playoff shirts.... It would be nice, if I could eat some crow this season. |

I am not watching the games, but by following the stats and from people's posts here that do watch the games, the Astro players are acting like it is a shift job, just clocking in and out....What happens in the game doesn't matter, they are going to get paid regardless.... For a multitude of reasons, 2020 F' Sucks!!!!! |

The Dusty experiment needs to end at the end of the season.......bring back Hinch.......Too early to know how Click will do as GM, but, we are about to find out because he has a BIG job ahead of him. 1. Re-sign Springer 2. Extend Correa 3. Find a good FA starting pitcher. |

We have some pieces........Tucker, Bregman, Correa if we extend him, and we don't know if we keep Springer. I wish I could be more enthusiastic about Altuve because he has been basically useless this season. We have found some good young pitching....starters and relievers. We need to sign a top free agent starter and a couple of relievers. We are not that far away with the right moves and a new manager. |
